Swimming Pool Laws, Regulations & Safety Checklist
No National laws or regulations mandate the the safekeeping of children in and around swimming pools. State and local reglations regarding safety equipment, pool design, water quality and record keeping do exist, but enforcement is spotty at best.
In order to minimize pool drownings of yound children, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission developed swimming pool guidelines. These guidelines are not mandatory. They are voluntary guidelines and recommendations.
Florida is one of four states: Arizone, California, Florida and Oregon – to have entaced safety laws requiring some type of fencing around residential swimming pools.
Children under the age of five have a far greater risk of pool injuries than older children, so the Shaked Law Firm has created a list for providing special guidelines for preventing swimming pool injuries for children under age five.

7. Stock first aid equipment.
8. Provide Constant supervision to all children.
9. Learn CPR and rescue techiques.
